Working Stay Permit (ITAS)
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 – 6 months & 1 – 2 years.
• Can be extended for work & stay permit periods of more than 6 months.

• Ratification of RPTKA / Expatriate placement plan (IMTA)

1 month after all complete documents are received.
Notes
Only applicable for Experts (TKA) / general positions, Directors / Commissioners non shareholders of the company, or Directors / Commissioners share ownership under IDR 10,000,000,000.
Investment Stay Permit (Investor)
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 year & 2 years.
• Can be extended.

Notes

Student Stay Permit
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 & 2 year.
• Can be extended based the study period in Indonesia.

Notes
This KITAS cannot be used for work.
Family Union / Dependent Stay Permit (Spouse)
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 & 2 year.
• Can be extended.
• Dependent, validity period follows Main.

Notes
• Only applicable for foreigners who have an Indonesian spouse (mixed marriage) or dependents of ITAS holders.
• This ITAS cannot be used for work.
• Can be converted into ITAP, if :
> Indonesian spouse (mixed marriage), the age of marriage is more than 2 years.
> Dependents of ITAP holders.
Retirement Stay Permit (Lansia)
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 year.
• Can be extended.

Notes

• Have accommodation / residence and employed Indonesian workers (to contribute while in Indonesia).
• Have health insurance and retirement savings.
Diaspora / ex. Indonesia Citizens
Validity
• Period of stay : 1 year, 2 years, 5 years.
• Can be extended.

ITAP – Permanent Stay Permit
Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP)
Validity
• Period of stay : 5 years, 10 years & Unlimited with MERP 5 years, 10 years, & Unlimited.
• Can be extended to an unlimited permanent stay permit (ITAP).

• Approval from relevant agencies & Directorate General of Immigration
• 5 years Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit (MERP)
• 5 years ITAP
• Certificate Police Report (STM)
• Foreigner ID / KTP
• Foreigner Family Card (KK)
Timeline
1,5 – 2 months after all complete documents are received.
Notes
• The ITAS holders can convert to ITAP.
• Applicable for holders of: Work ITAS, top leaders in the company, ITAS investors, spouse / dependent ITAS, Secondhome / Golden Visa ITAS, retirement ITAS, spouse / dependent of ITAP holders, ex Indonesian citizens, former children who hold dual citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia, ex-children with dual nationality of the Republic of Indonesia who chose foreign citizenship, children born in Indonesia to foreigners who hold a permanent stay permit, and Indonesian citizens who have lost Indonesian citizenship in the Indonesian Territory.
