Indonesia Makes Visas Easier for International Musicians – The Directorate General of Immigration has issued a new type of visa for international musicians or artists who want to hold a concert in Indonesia. This type of visa is called a music and art visa.

With this visa, international artists who will hold music concerts in Indonesia no longer need to attach a work permit as before and also no longer need to attach a Police Record Certificate (SKCK).

What is a music and arts visa?

Music and art visa is the newest type of visa issued by the Director General of Immigration in September 2023. Music and art visas are issued to foreigners who wish to hold music and art performances in Indonesia.

Requirement documents that are needed?

1. Passport is valid for at least 6 (six) months (for holders of travel documents other than passports such as emergency passports, documents of identity, etc. must be valid for 12 months).
2. Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $2000 or equivalent the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and account balance).
3. Latest color photograph.
4. Guarantee letter from the event organizer or impresariat
5. Visa application from the impresariat and the performer’s cooperation contract with the event organizer.

1. Visas must be used within 90 days from the date of issuance.
