New Requirements for Indonesia Visa Application – As of Friday, September 24, 2021, the Visa Application service system for either a Visit Visa or a Limited Stay Permit for Indonesia has changed the requirements to obtain it, for both Offshore & Onshore Visa applications.

Below are the updates or changes to requirements on the official Visa Online application web portal (https://visa-online.imigration.go.id/) During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period.

Visit Visa Index B211A/B

Offshore Applications for business and Government purposes

Conduct business talks, Make purchases of goods, Performing Emergency and Urgent Work, Join crew and conveyance, Government Duties and Prospective Foreign Workers in the Trial.

> Requirements:

1. Letter of application and warranty;
2. Passport cover;
3. Bio data page min. 6 months or travel document min. 12 months;
4. Return ticket or through ticket (continue travel);
5. Saving account book guarantee / foreigners (min balance equivalent of usd 10,000), min. Last 3 months;
6. Colored photos;
7. Approval letter of the minister of law and human rights regarding the imposition of zero rupiah rate, (if any);
8. Proof of receiving the complete dosage covid-19 vaccine;
9. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance including health financing, and/or statement of willing to pay independently;
10. Certificate of good conduct from authorized authorities in the country of origin or representatives of foreigners’ country of origin;
11. Results of a health examination that is free from transmitted diseases that endanger general health;
12. Statement of willing to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia.

Onshore Applications for purposes

Tourism, Family, Social, Arts and culture, Duties of government, Non-commercial sports, Comparative studies, short courses and short training, Conduct business talks, Make purchases of goods, Giving lectures or attending seminars, Participate in international exhibitions, Participate in meetings held with the head office or representatives in Indonesia, Continuing to travel to other countries and Join the transportation means in the Indonesian Territory.

> Requirements:

1. Letter of application and warranty;
2. Passport cover;
3. Bio data page min. 6 months or travel document min. 12 months;
4. Return ticket or through ticket (continue travel);
5. Saving account book guarantee / foreigners (min balance equivalent of usd 2,000), min. Last 3 months;
6. Colored photos;
7. Approval letter of the minister of law and human rights regarding the imposition of zero rupiah rate, (if any)
8. Proof of receiving the complete dosage covid-19 vaccine;
9. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance including health financing, and/or statement of willing to pay independently;
10. Ownership documents/immigration documents;
11. Statement of willing to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia.

Offshore Applications for Family Union (Mixed Marriage WNI & WNA) purposes

> Requirements:

1. Letter of application and warranty;
2. Passport cover;
3. Bio data page min. 18 months;
4. Saving account book guarantee / foreigners (min balance equivalent of usd 2,000), min. Last 3 months;
5. Colored photos;
6. Spouse`s ID/KTP (status should be married);
7. Spouse`s Tax Card/NPWP;
8. Married in Indonesia: Marriage book (Buku Nikah) for Muslims or Marriage Certificate for Christians etc.; If Married Abroad, Marriage Certificate from the Civil country of which you are married; Marriage Certificate Report from the Indonesian embassy/consulate; Certificate of Marriage Report from Disdukcapil in Indonesia;
9. Family Card (KK) of the spouse (must be separated from spouse`s parents);
10. Birth certificate of Indonesia Spouse;
11. Proof of receiving the complete dosage covid-19 vaccine;
12. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance including health financing, and/or statement of willing to pay independently;
13. Certificate of good conduct from authorized authorities in the country of origin or representatives of foreigners’ country of origin;
14. Results of a health examination that is free from transmitted diseases that endanger general health;
15. Statement of willing to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia.

Notes

For dependents, spouse and children of followers of the Stay Permit holder:

1. Book of Marriage / Marriage Certificate in English from the official where they are married. If it is not in English, can attach one that uses the original language and a translation that is already in English;
2. Child Birth Certificate;
3. Spouse Documents, both work permit and stay permit.

Offshore Applications for working purposes (TKA)

Limited Stay Visa is applied by Foreigner or Guarantor by attaching the following requirements:

> General requirement:

1. Work Permit from the Ministry of Manpower;
2. Guarantee letter from the Guarantor;
3. A valid Foreigner Passport: Minimum 12 (twelve) months for Foreigners who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 months; Minimum 18 (twelve) months for Foreigners who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 year; Minimum 30 (thirty) months for Foreigners who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 years.
4. Certificate of good behavior from the competent authority in the country of origin or representatives of the foreigner’s country of origin;
5. The results of a health examination stating that they are free from infectious diseases that endanger public health;
6. Proof of having living expenses for himself and his family while in Indonesia in the form of a checking account, savings book, or time deposit for the last three months belonging to the relevant foreigner or guarantor, with an amount of at least USD 2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent;
7. Color passport photo;
8. Evidence of having received the full dose of Covid-19 vaccine;
9. Statement letter willing to comply with all health protocols in Indonesia;
10. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance that includes health financing, as well as a statement letter willing to pay independently all medical costs (if not covered by insurance/do not have insurance) if exposed to Covid-19 while in Indonesia.

> Special Requirements:

Especially for foreigners who will work in National Strategic Projects (PSN)/National Vital Objects must attach a recommendation from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment.

Offshore Applications for Investment/Investors purposes

> Requirements:

1. Letter of application and warranty;
2. Passport cover;
3. Bio data page min. 18 months, for 1 Year Stay, if for 2 Years stay, min. 30 months;
4. Saving account book guarantee / foreigners (min balance equivalent of usd 2,000), min. Last 3 months;
5. Colored photos;
6. Recommendation from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM or Business Registration Number (NIB);
7. Proof of receiving the complete dosage covid-19 vaccine;
8. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance including health financing, and/or statement of willing to pay independently;
9. Certificate of good conduct from authorized authorities in the country of origin or representatives of foreigners’ country of origin;
10. Results of a health examination that is free from transmitted diseases that endanger general health;
11. Statement of willing to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia.

Onshore Applications for Investment/Investors purposes

> Requirements:

1. Letter of application and warranty;
2. Passport cover;
3. Bio data page min. 18 months, for 1 Year Stay, if for 2 Years stay, min. 30 months;
4. Saving account book guarantee / foreigners (min balance equivalent of usd 2,000), min. Last 3 months;
5. Colored photos;
6. Recommendation from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM or Business Registration Number (NIB);
7. Proof of receiving the complete dosage covid-19 vaccine;
8. Proof of ownership of health insurance/travel insurance including health financing, and/or statement of willing to pay independently;
9. Statement of willing to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia.
