Update for Multiple Entry Visit Visa (VKBP) D212 – The Directorate General of Immigration has officially reopened the multiple entry visit visa service which allows foreigners to enter Indonesia within 1 year without the need to apply for a return visit visa. This policy is stated in Circular Letter No. IMI-0783.GR.01.01 of 2022. This regulation was published on November 28, 2022. 

The Multiple Entry Visit Visa (VKBP) policy that was launched is expected to facilitate foreign business people who will travel for business or invest in Indonesia. Previously, the Multiple Entry Visa was relaunched after the pandemic in November 2022 and was tested on Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Multiple Visit Visa Users were only allowed to enter and leave Indonesian territory through the Immigration Checkpoints (TPI) in Riau Island. However, they can visit various places/areas while in Indonesia.

On 24 February 2023, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights through the Directorate General of Immigration Issued Circular Letter Number IMI-0072.GR.01.01 of 2023 which took effect from 25 February 2023 concerning revocation of circular letter Number IMI-0783.GR.01.01 of 2022 concerning immigration policy regarding multiple visit visa services, special for business in Batam and Bintan area during the corona virus disease 2019.

Definition of multiple entry visit visa

A multiple entry visa is a document that is valid for multiple visits. The holder of this visa is allowed to enter and leave a country without having to re-submit documents repeatedly, until the validity period expires.

Requirements for applying for a multiple entry visit visa

  2. Passport with a validity period of Min. 18 months
  3. Return Ticket or Ticket to continue the journey
  4. Bank Statement, have a balance of Min. 2000$
  5. Recent color pass photo with white background
